HAI 2016 Latest : AgustaWestland displays Its First Light Twin Helicopter with Skids

AgustaWestland unveiled its latest addition to its lineup, the AW109 Trekker, on Tuesday at Heli-Expo. Notably, the helicopter is the Italy-based company’s first light twin to offer skid landing gear. It is expected to receive certification and begin deliveries next year.

HAI 2016 Latest : Finmeccanica’s AW Trekker light twin makes its first flight

Finmeccanica’s AW Trekker light twin made its first flight Wednesday at the company’s Cascina Costa, Italy helicopter division. The nominal flight included an assessment of general handling and basic systems. Two prototypes will be used for the flight test program, and EASA certification is expected by year-end.

AgustaWestland AW609 tilt-rotor crashes in Italy killing two test pilots

UK MoD confirms Puma crash was an accident

The UK MoD confirms the crash of a Puma MK2 on sunday 11th October 2015, in Afghanistan was a result of an accident and not of hostile enemy action.

The helicopter crashed while landing at the Headquarters of Resolute Support, the NATO train, advise and assist mission in Afghanistan. The incident is currently under investigation.
