AgustaWestland AW609 tilt-rotor crashes in Italy killing two test pilots

The AW609 Tiltrotor , a hybrid between an airplane and helicopter, capable of taking off vertically was on a test flight in Northern Italy , when it crashed between the areas of  Santhia and Tronzano, 30 miles from AgustaWestland’s Cascina Costa site and nearby Vergiate production facility.

UK MoD confirms Puma crash was an accident

The UK MoD confirms the crash of a Puma MK2 on sunday 11th October 2015, in Afghanistan was a result of an accident and not of hostile enemy action.

The helicopter crashed while landing at the Headquarters of Resolute Support, the NATO train, advise and assist mission in Afghanistan. The incident is currently under investigation.
